BoardGameGeek (BGG) is among the best reference websites for boardgamers with a massive database of boardgames filled with user contributed ratings, videos and rules discussions. You can research games and view content without creating an account, but creating a free account lets you manage your game collection, rate games and post in the forums.

The Toronto BoardGamers BGG Guild provides members with:
- an opportunity to find people who own, want to play, or trade a specific boardgame
- notifications of major announcements and special events
- discussion for recommending, requesting and arranging games outside scheduled events
Joining and Subscribing
Join the guild to be included in the list of members and share your collection with other members:
- Login to your BGG profile
- Go to the Toronto BoardGamers BGG Guild
- Click Join this Guild in the top right corner
Subscribe to the guild to be notified about posts, updates and announcements by clicking Subscribe in the top right corner of the guild page when logged in to your BGG profile.
Viewing Member's Collection Information
One of the strongest features of the BGG Guild is the collection search function. Click on Browse at the bottom of the information section of the guild page to access the search page. The default search is "owned" to find players who own a game you want to play, but it's also possible to search for players who want to play a game or people who have a game up for trade or want to own a specific game. This search is as reliable as people's online collections and is a good reason for you to keep your collection up to date!
