Our Discord server provides a small group discussion space for people who share the values and behaviours in our code of conduct and regularly attend our events. 


Steps to Join

  1. Acknowledge and continually strive towards the behaviours in our Code of Conduct
  2. Click on the link at the bottom of this page to gain access to the #getting-started channel.
  3. Update your name on the server to be your real name, optionally with your BGG name in brackets. This can be changed for only one server under "change nickname"
  4. React to the welcome message, either 🍽️ for the PATH event or with your preferred player colour for full access if you attend our events regularly and have demonstrated that you agree with and are continuing to work towards the behaviours in our Code of Conduct. 
Access is granted manually, often within 24 hours but varies depending on my real world commitments. Your reaction will be removed when access to the server is granted or denied.


The Rules

This discord server is my safe, happy space. I strongly dislike the negative spin and attitudes that exist in most social media spaces, and those things are not welcome here. 
  1. Use the most specific Channel. There are a number of different channels within the server, each including a description of the content that is appropriate for that channel. When deciding where to post, always use the most specific option to help separate conversations and respect other member's notification settings. For example, #market for anything related to sales (new or used), releases, reviews or recommendations and #conventions for events hosted by other groups.
  2. ​Use Threads to reduce notifications, keep discussions separated and allow them to be found more easily. When replying to a post or posting a 2nd message about a topic, use the "Create Thread" option. To receive notifications for a thread, post in that thread or click the bell at the top of the page.


General Information

Notifications: As with many online platforms, the default notification settings can be too much but you can customize your settings for each channel, category or server by right clicking on its name.
