Discord
Our Discord server provides casual forums for discussion among group members who have attended at least a few events and proven that they share the values and behaviours of our code of conduct.
How to Join
The link below will direct you to the #getting-started channel. Access to the rest of the server will be manually granted (usually within 24 hours, but this can vary) if you meet the following requirements:
- Acknowledge our Code of Conduct and attend a few meetups demonstrating these shared values.
- Your name on the server matches your meetup/real name. If you play online, feel free to include your online user name in brackets. If you belong to multiple servers, you can change this for only this server by right clicking on your name in the list of members and choosing "change nickname".
- React to the welcome message indicating your preferred player colour. Your reaction will be removed when access to the server is granted or denied.
General Information
Channels: There are a number of different channels within the server, each including a description of the content that is appropriate for that channel. When deciding where to post, always use the most specific one possible to help keep conversations separate and respect other member's notification settings. For example:
Notifications: As with any online platform, the default notification settings can be ridiculous but you can customize your settings for each channel, category or server by right clicking on its name.
Threads: If posting or replying to a message that may generate a discussion, hover over the initial post and "Create Thread" to allow responses and notifications to be contained within that thread.
Voice Channels are available for anyone at anytime to chat with other people in the server.
Formatting options are described here.
- #market for anything related to sales (new or used), releases, reviews or recommendations
- #conventions for anything related to events hosted by other groups
