Discord

Our Discord server provides a small group discussion space for people who regularly attend our events and share the values and behaviours in our code of conduct.

Steps to Join

1. Acknowledge, continually strive towards and remind others of the behaviours in our Code of Conduct
2. Click on the link at the bottom of this page to gain access to the #getting-started channel
3. Update your name on the server to be your real name, optionally with your BGG name in brackets or your last initial to distinguish yourself from others if you have a common first name. This can be changed for only one server under "change nickname."
4. React to the welcome message with your preferred player colour

Access is granted manually, often within 24 hours but varies depending on my real world commitments. Your reaction will be removed when access to the server is granted or denied.

The Rules

This discord server is my safe, happy space. I strongly dislike the negative spin and attitudes that exist in so many online spaces, and those things are not welcome here.

There are a number of different channels within the server, each including a description of the content that is appropriate for that channel. When deciding where to post, always use the most specific channel to help separate conversations and respect other member's notification settings. For example, #market for anything related to sales (new or used), releases, reviews or recommendations and #conventions for events hosted by other groups.

General Information

Notifications: As with many online platforms, the default notification settings can be too much but you can customize your settings for each channel, category or server by right clicking on its name.

Formatting options are described here.

Invitations

Feel free to share the link to this webpage with anyone who you would like to invite to this server. They will still require manual approval as described above.
